Kevin Thompson, 32, a Black/African American male from Wilmington, Delaware, was shot on the evening of July 26, 2021, in the 600 block of North Monroe Street. Wilmington police were called to the area at about 7:06 p.m. after gunfire broke out, and when officers arrived they found Thompson suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken from the scene to a hospital, but the injuries were too severe, and he later died.
