In the small, rural community of Paisley, Oregon, 59-year-old Glenda Marie Cormie vanished from her residence in the spring of 2019. She was last seen on April 15, 2019. At the time of her disappearance, Glenda was described as being between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing between 126 and 140 pounds, with graying hair and hazel eyes. A particularly distinguishing physical feature is that Glenda is missing her left arm at the shoulder. When she was last seen, it is believed she was wearing a tan leather coat with fringe, leather lace-up packer boots, and carrying a large, brown or tan leather hobo-style purse. Following her disappearance, the Lake County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation and extensive search efforts were undertaken in and around the Paisley area. Over 550 hours were dedicated by search and rescue personnel to comb the surrounding landscape in hopes of finding any sign of Glenda. The investigation confirmed that all of her vehicles were accounted for at her property. Further inquiries revealed there had been no activity on her cell phone, nor had any transactions been made from her financial accounts since she was last seen, deepening the mystery of her sudden disappearance. The circumstances surrounding Glenda Cormie's case remain unresolved, leaving her family and community with unanswered questions. The comprehensive search yielded no clues as to her whereabouts or what may have happened to her. The lack of financial and communication activity suggests she did not leave on her own accord with a plan to start a new life. With all of her transportation left behind, the possibilities of where she could have gone are limited. Despite the passage of time, the case remains an active missing person investigation, a quiet but persistent puzzle in the high desert of Eastern Oregon.
