On a cold day, February 9, 1991, tragedy struck in the waters near the Semidi Islands, Alaska, forever changing the lives of those connected to Geraldo Ernesto Ramos. At 30 years old, Geraldo, also known as Tito, was working aboard the 90-foot crab fishing vessel, the Tani Rae.
