In the early morning hours of September 3, 2017, 33-year-old Brandon Lee Sandoval was last seen leaving his parents' home in Coppermine, on the Navajo Nation in Arizona. It was around 4:30 a.m. when he told his mother he was heading toward Phoenix, Arizona, and then planned to travel to Torreon, New Mexico. Brandon, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and work boots at the time of his disappearance. He has not been seen or heard from since that morning. Brandon is described as a Native American male with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing between 5'10" and 5'11" tall, and weighing between 195 and 207 pounds. He has several distinctive tattoos, including the name "Sandoval" on the right side of his neck and red lips on the left side. On his back, between his shoulders, are the letters "NP," and he has a tattoo of a long-haired woman on his upper left arm. His left forearm bears the names "Bennie" and "Adrian." While it was not entirely unusual for Brandon to be out of touch for periods, he had always maintained contact with his family in the past. His mother grew concerned and officially reported him missing after two months had passed with no word from him. The circumstances surrounding Brandon's disappearance are troubling. In the time leading up to when he went missing, he was reportedly acting paranoid and had told his family that drug cartels were after him, though he did not provide a reason why. His case is being handled by the Navajo Nation Police Department's Tuba City District. Despite the passage of time, Brandon's case remains unsolved, and his family continues to hope for answers regarding his whereabouts. The lack of any contact or sightings has created a void of information, leaving his loved ones to wonder what happened to him after he walked away from his family's home.
