On a late spring evening in Dennehotso, Arizona, 37-year-old Alexander Eskee vanished, leaving behind a life and a family anxiously awaiting his return. On June 5, 2020, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Alexander, also known as Alex, was last seen leaving his residence. He departed in his white 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck after a reported argument with his in-laws. At the time of his disappearance, he was dressed casually in a white tank top, swimming shorts, and flip-flops. An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, Alexander is described as a Native American male with brown hair and brown eyes. He has several distinguishing features, including a pierced left ear, scars on both eyebrows, a black spot on his right cheek, and multiple tattoos. These tattoos include "ESK" on his upper right arm, "ELIJAH" on his right forearm, "SHANDON" on his outer forearm, "ASHIIHI" on his chest, a three-inch skull on the back of one of his calves, and an unfinished peacock on his shoulder. The circumstances surrounding Alexander's disappearance have been troubling for his loved ones. He is a trained welder who had been known to travel to different states for work, but his departure on that particular night was abrupt and out of character. The vehicle he was driving, a white Dodge Ram with Arizona license plate number CAH6625, tinted windows, and four mud tires, has also not been located. Originally from the Dinnebito/Rocky Ridge area of Arizona, his connections to the community run deep. Tragically, just two months prior to his own disappearance, in April 2020, Alexander's brother was killed in an unsolved shooting, adding another layer of distress for the family. The investigation into Alexander Eskee's whereabouts is being handled by the Navajo Nation Police Department's Kayenta District. Despite the passage of time, his case remains unsolved. The lack of any contact or sightings of Alexander or his truck since that June night continues to be a source of immense pain and uncertainty for his family and community. The case serves as a somber reminder of the ongoing crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people, leaving a family to grapple with unanswered questions and the hope that one day they will have a resolution.
