In the late spring of 2020, concern began to grow for 60-year-old John Craft of Columbus, Georgia. A family member reported that the last contact with him was a phone call on June 22, 2020. Compounding the worry, John, who was scheduled to work, failed to show up for his job. This uncharacteristic absence prompted his family to file a missing person report with the Columbus Police Department on June 27, 2020.
