Jeremiah James Bonds, a 23-year-old Black male from the Gainesville and Flowery Branch area, died on August 4, 2023, after what authorities said began as an argument inside a vehicle in Hall County. In the early-morning darkness, just after about 1:30 a.m., the car was coming off Interstate 985 near Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville when the dispute turned deadly.
