In the early evening of May 26, 2024, the quiet of Keens Crossing Road in East Dublin, Georgia, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a call at approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies from the Laurens County Sheriff's Office discovered a grim scene. In a ditch alongside the road lay the body of 21-year-old Nicholas Nickson, a White male from the nearby town of Wrightsville. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at 7:43 p.m. by the Laurens County Deputy Coroner.
