Dakevis Reed, 29, a Black male, was shot on the afternoon of December 10, 2020, in the Rosegate community just outside New Castle, Delaware. Around 2 p.m., New Castle County police responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Rose Lane and learned two gunshot victims had already been taken to a hospital. Reed did not survive; the second victim was reported in critical condition as detectives from the county�s Homicide Squad took over the investigation.
