Katelyn Mae Nance, a 35-year-old White/Caucasian female from Wilmington, Delaware, died after a late-night shooting on August 2, 2023. The shooting happened on Wilmington's East Side in the area of 10th and Bennett Streets, where police were called just before 10:40 p.m. after reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Nance suffering from gunshot wounds, turning an ordinary summer night into the scene of a homicide investigation.
