In the late summer of 2019, the life of 19-year-old Marcus Quintin Sims Jr. was tragically cut short in a burst of violence. On the morning of September 9th, in the parking lot of the Springdale Glen Apartments in Clarkston, Georgia, Sims was shot multiple times. When police officers responded to a call about a person being shot, they found him at the scene, already deceased. The male victim's death marked the fourth homicide in Clarkston that year.
