In the spring of 2019, a sense of unease settled over an adult foster care home in Lansing, Michigan, as 61-year-old Paul Allen Brady vanished on April 25th. A resident of the home located on Norburn Way, Paul was last seen at 10:30 in the morning. Concern mounted quickly as it was discovered that he had left without essential items such as a coat or shoes. The circumstances surrounding his departure were particularly worrying, as he had reportedly made comments suggesting his life might be ending prior to leaving the facility. This, coupled with the fact that he had no money, access to transportation, or any known family in the immediate area, escalated the situation into a critical search. Paul is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing at 5'10" and weighing around 165 pounds. A significant and distinguishing physical characteristic is his hunched back, a result of scoliosis. At the time of his disappearance, he was believed to be wearing a black t-shirt and blue nylon jogging pants. As a dependent adult with unspecified health issues, Paul required medication which he did not have with him, adding another layer of urgency to the efforts to locate him. The Lansing Police Department was notified of his disappearance the following day, April 26, 2019, and promptly opened an investigation. Despite the immediate concerns and the launch of an official search, information regarding Paul's whereabouts has remained elusive. An extensive search of the area was conducted by the Michigan Search and Rescue team, but tragically, they were unable to locate him. His case is classified as an endangered missing person, a reflection of the concerning circumstances under which he disappeared. The lack of leads and the passage of time have left those involved with more questions than answers. The overview of this case is one of a vulnerable adult who seemingly vanished without a trace, leaving behind a community concerned for his well-being and a police investigation that continues to seek any information that might lead to a resolution. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lansing Police Department.
