In the late summer of 1988, a tragic event unfolded in the rugged, untamed wilderness of coastal Alaska, leading to the disappearance of 29-year-old Toshiro Okamoto. Known also by his nickname, Tommy, Toshiro was last seen on September 26, 1988, in the vicinity of Marka Bay, near the southern end of Afognak Island.
