On October 3, 1997, 67-year-old Glenn Marshall Wade, a male resident of Soldotna, Alaska, disappeared in a case that continues to baffle investigators. An experienced pilot, Wade was last seen before he took off in his blue PA-22 floatplane, registered as N8995D. The purpose of his flight and his intended destination remain unknown. The last known sighting of Wade's aircraft was by another pilot flying over Skilak Lake, who reported seeing the blue plane partially submerged and upside down ...
