Robert Rutland, 61, disappeared on March 17, 2009, from Grand Island, New York. He left his home that day to get a haircut in Niagara Falls but never returned. The following day, on March 18, a person matching his description was reportedly seen jumping into the Niagara River, heading toward Niagara Falls. Rutland's gray 2007 Cadillac Escalade was later found abandoned on 20th Street in Niagara Falls.
