On June 17, 2010, Jason Daniel Allgood, a 36-year-old man, was reported missing in Haines, Alaska. He was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer and had planned a solo subsistence fishing trip on the Chilkat River on his day off. Allgood had shared his plans with a friend and also posted about his fishing trip on his Facebook page. Concern for his welfare grew when he did not report for his 7 a.m. shift the following morning.
