In the spring or summer of 2018, a 30-year-old mother of three named Shantell Marie Nick vanished from Lansing, Michigan. The last time her family had any contact with her was much earlier, in April of 2017. Known to her loved ones as "Sha" or "Shay," Shantell was a Black female with black hair that she often dyed blonde and brown eyes. She stood 5'5" tall and weighed around 130 pounds. Her family described a change in her behavior in the months before she disappeared, noting that she had become distant. They believe she may have been pulled away by people who had a negative influence on her life. The exact date and location of her last sighting remain unclear, adding to the distress of her loved ones. Shantell has several distinct physical features that her family hopes will help in locating her. She has a number of tattoos, including a depiction of Mickey Mouse on her right ankle, a cross on her chest, and flowers on the right side of her neck. She also has several large, linear burn scars on her back.
