In the late winter of 1998, a sense of unease settled over a family in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as 56-year-old Ellen Townsend vanished from her home on Glenwood Parkway. On March 30th of that year, the African American woman, who was known to be dealing with depression, walked away from her residence and was never seen or heard from again.
