In the summer of 2024, concern grew for a 15-year-old boy from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, named Wilbert Blose. He was officially reported as last seen on July 29, 2024. The Lancaster City Bureau of Police began an investigation into his disappearance and sought help from the public to find him. Information released to the community described him as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at five feet eight inches tall and weighing around 145 pounds. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were not widely publicized, but the lack of contact from the teenager was cause for alarm. As the weeks turned into months, the search for Wilbert continued. The Lancaster City Bureau of Police posted an alert asking for the public's assistance on August 21, 2024, stating he was last seen in the area of the 200 block of College Avenue. Community members were urged to come forward with any information regarding his whereabouts, no matter how insignificant it might have seemed. The hope was that a tip from the public would provide the lead needed to bring him home safely. After a search that lasted for nearly four months, the community received the welcome news that Wilbert Blose had been located. On November 19, 2024, the Lancaster City Bureau of Police updated their public notice to announce that he had been found. The case, which began with a report of a missing juvenile in late July, came to a positive conclusion. In their update, the police department expressed gratitude to everyone who had assisted in the effort to find him safely.
