In the early hours of February 7, 2004, 25-year-old Robert Jason MacRae, known to his loved ones as Jason, embarked on a spontaneous canoeing trip in Puget Sound with a friend, Jason Lee Shallock. At approximately 4:00 a.m., MacRae made a call to his girlfriend to let her know of their plans. This would be the last time he was heard from.
