In the summer of 2007, 35-year-old Fernando Paul Cardenas was enjoying a night out in Seattle, Washington, celebrating his girlfriend's birthday with friends. The evening took an unforeseen turn when he became separated from his group. A subsequent phone call to his girlfriend, where he mentioned he was at a McDonald's, would be the last time anyone is known to have heard from him.
