James Garfield Broome, a 42-year-old man, vanished from Jersey City, New Jersey, under circumstances that remain unclear. Known also by his middle name, Garfield, he was last officially seen on July 1, 1998. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Black male, standing between 5'5' and 5'8' tall, and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds.
