On October 25, 1997, a 41-year-old man named Ulysses Tolliver, known to some by the nickname "U.C.", left his home in Detroit, Michigan. He was headed to a nearby gas station on foot and was expected to return shortly. Tolliver was last seen wearing a light blue button-down shirt and blue work pants. He has never been seen or heard from again, and the specific details surrounding his intended destination and the exact time he left remain unclear, adding to the distress of his loved ones. Ulysses Tolliver is an African American male with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he stood at 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed approximately 130 pounds. He had a noticeable scar in the center of his chest and wore a goatee. Despite these distinguishing features, years have passed without any credible sightings or leads to suggest what may have happened to him after he set out on his short walk to the gas station. The lack of available information in his case has made the search for answers a challenging and painful journey for his family. The investigation into Ulysses Tolliver's disappearance is being handled by the Detroit Police Department. In an effort to generate new leads, his case has been entered into national databases for missing persons. DNA from his son was collected and has been entered into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), a national database that allows for comparison of DNA samples from missing persons with unidentified remains. Despite these efforts, his case remains unsolved. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are perplexing, as he seemingly vanished without a trace during a routine errand, leaving his family with unanswered questions and the enduring pain of not knowing what became of him.
