In the early morning hours of June 6, 2013, 28-year-old Albert "Al" Leroy Copper left his home in Avonmore, Pennsylvania, for his job as a truck driver. He was a new father and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a grey t-shirt, a black baseball cap with "Peterbilt" on the front, and off-white tennis shoes. At approximately 3:45 a.m., he headed out for what should have been a routine workday, but he never arrived at his job. His family reported him missing later that day when he didn't return home. The last confirmed sighting of Albert was from video surveillance footage at a convenience store where he stopped to buy a drink. The store was in the opposite direction of his work, adding a layer of mystery to his movements that morning. In the video, he did not appear to be under any distress. Later that same day, Albert's blue Hyundai Elantra was discovered abandoned on a steep and muddy gas well access road near the Avonmore Bridge, less than a mile from his residence. Inside the vehicle, investigators found his cell phone and wallet. There were no immediate signs of a struggle or foul play at the scene. This discovery prompted extensive searches of the surrounding area, including the dense, steep terrain and the nearby Kiski River. Despite these efforts by law enforcement and the community, no trace of Albert was found. The location of his car, on a remote dirt trail, was puzzling to both his family and investigators. The years that have passed since Albert Copper's disappearance have not brought any definitive answers. The case remains open, and investigators have periodically reissued calls for public assistance, hoping that new information will come to light. A reward for information that could solve the case has been offered. The lack of evidence of either foul play or a voluntary departure has left his loved ones in a painful state of uncertainty. The disappearance of Albert Copper is a troubling mystery, marked by a few strange clues but no clear path to a resolution, leaving a family to wonder what happened to their son, husband, and father.
