U.S. Border Patrol agents located the incomplete skeletal remains in a wash area in the desert. Initial laboratory assessment of partial skeleton resulted in a probale sex of female and decedent was listed as such in NamUs. However, recent DNA results indicate MALE. The cranium (ML10-00236, NamUs UP # 8662) that was found in nearby area has been linked to these skeletal remains by DNA profiles. These two accessions are now merged into this case.
