Lynwood Crumpler Drake III (born October 10, 1949 � died November 8, 1992) was an American spree killer responsible for a shocking rampage across three communities in central California�Morro Bay, Paso Robles, and San Miguel�on November 7�8, 1992. His spree left six people dead, one wounded, and ended in his suicide. He left behind a note blaming others for the loss of his family and expressing deep resentment toward his parents and sister.

Drake�s murderous spree unfolded over approximately eleven hours:
- On the evening of November 7, 1992, shortly before 6 p.m., he entered a home in Morro Bay and shot his former landlord.
- He then went to another Morro Bay home, killing a man who had testified against him, fatally shot another during a struggle, and wounded a bystander.
- About five hours later he drove to Paso Robles, where he attacked a card parlor, killing two dealers and one customer.
- Finally, he arrived in San Miguel, beat and took a former landlady hostage, and at approximately 5 a.m. on November 8, as the house was surrounded, he killed himself.
