In the summer of 2006, a wave of violence crested over Indianapolis, and in its tragic wake, it claimed the life of Gregory Howard Bryant. A 44-year-old Caucasian man, Bryant was discovered in the place he should have felt safest�his own backyard on the near east side of the city. On August 4th, he was found shot to death, a victim of a particularly violent week in the city's history.
