On a tragic summer day, August 25, 1996, the life of 41-year-old Yvonne Thompson, a female resident of Saint Paul, Minnesota, was brought to a violent end. The harrowing events unfolded behind her apartment building, where the echoes of her desperate pleas, 'Don't shoot me! Don't shoot me!', were heard by neighbors, a chilling prelude to an argument, screams, and the fatal sound of gunshots.
