In the late spring of 1976, a quiet afternoon in Denver's Baker neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. On May 29th, police were dispatched to a residence on a report of a shooting. Once inside the home, officers discovered a grim scene. Forty-seven-year-old Cecil Richards, a white male, was found shot to death. He was not alone. His roommate, Billie E.
