Donatello Herrera, age 35, was shot and killed on December 17, 2014, while waiting for a bus on the 1200 block of South Western Avenue in Chicago. The incident occurred at around 1:15 a.m. when a dark-colored SUV drove past and opened fire, striking Herrera. He was a father of three, described as a dedicated family man who had just left work before the shooting.
