On August 14, 2016, Dennis Arshell III, a 19-year-old college student, was fatally shot in Chicago�s Wrightwood neighborhood. Arshell was visiting his family before he was to return to St. John�s University in New York, where he was studying journalism. He was sitting on a porch with a friend when a gunman opened fire, striking Arshell in the chest. His friend, also shot, survived.
