On October 3, 2024, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Compton Boulevard in Compton, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Leonel Arechiga Morales suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:04 p.m.
