In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Philadelphia, 19-year-old Tahmir Hightower was on the 4900 block of Olive Street when his life was tragically cut short. At approximately 10:40 p.m. on what police records indicate as April 18, 2023, gunfire erupted. Responding officers discovered Hightower near a vacant lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
