In the early hours of May 3, 2024, the life of 35-year-old Anthony Young of Pittsburgh was tragically cut short in the city's Hill District. Responding to multiple ShotSpotter alerts just after midnight, Pittsburgh police discovered Young lying in the street at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Watt Lane in the Bedford Dwellings neighborhood. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
