On July 3, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Belleville, Illinois, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Brandon E. Scott. Brandon was shot while inside his residence in the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue in unincorporated Belleville. The St. Clair County Sheriff�s Department responded to the scene at approximately 9:56 PM and found Brandon, who was subsequently taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
