In the early evening of Saturday, March 4, 2023, a dispute at the South Bend Skate Park in Lagrange, Georgia, turned deadly, claiming the life of 16-year-old Nasir Truitt. The male teenager was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Pierce Street, adjacent to the park, following reports of gunfire around 7:30 p.m. Emergency medical services transported him to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
