In the early morning hours of July 5, 2024, a dispute that began inside an Albany, Georgia nightclub tragically ended with the death of 21-year-old Daveyon Wakefield. The Black / African American male was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Reflextions Lounge on Thornton Drive. The incident, which also left three other people injured, is believed to be gang-related.
