LB Liggins, a Black male, 76, was shot on the afternoon of August 30, 2014, near North 24th and Pratt Streets in Omaha. Officers arrived to find him critically wounded; he was taken to a hospital, where he died. Witnesses described an argument that escalated quickly, and by late that night police identified Liggins as the victim.
