Jose Duran-Lopez, a 28-year-old Hispanic/Latino male, was killed in Wilmington, Delaware, in the early hours of August 31, 2024. The night unfolded near the city�s Riverfront, an area normally associated with restaurants, offices, and late-night activity. Just after 1:45 a.m., Wilmington police were called to the 100 block of South West Street, near the Barclays building and a Riverfront restaurant, after reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found Duran-Lopez badly wounded.
