Hajj Blackwell, a 38-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was found dead inside the North Philadelphia rowhouse where he lived after a fire broke out in the early morning hours on Taylor Street near Thompson Street. A news report published on January 15, 2008, said the fire began around 4 a.m. on the first floor of the two-story home and was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
