Jermaine Palmer, aged 19, was fatally shot on July 8, 2010, in Pittsburgh's Homewood neighborhood. The incident took place while Palmer and another male were driving. Unknown individuals opened fire on their vehicle, striking Palmer in the chest. He was subsequently driven to a fire station on Hamilton Avenue, but he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
