In the late hours of a Friday night in Philadelphia, a 28-year-old man named John McCorkle was found lying in the street on the 4500 block of North 8th Street. It was March 30, 2012, at 10:54 p.m. when Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call and discovered him suffering from a gunshot wound.
