In December 2014, a grim discovery was made in a Southwest Philadelphia self-storage facility, bringing a violent end to the life of 69-year-old James Williams. The manager of the Locker Room Self Storage on South 62nd Street came across a 1986 GMC Savana van and, upon investigating, found Williams inside, lying face down with his hands and legs bound behind him. Paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced him dead. The case was immediately investigated as a homicide.
