In the early morning hours of August 27, 2015, the life of 24-year-old Darron Birch, a Black male, was tragically cut short in his Philadelphia apartment. Police responded to a call at a residence on the 1400 block of Poplar Street at approximately 1:08 a.m.. Upon arrival, they discovered Birch inside his home, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and face. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene just a few minutes later, at 1:15 a.m..
