On a Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia, the life of 25-year-old Jerrill Curtis, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On November 15, 2016, at approximately 3:20 p.m., violence erupted on the 2100 block of West Indiana Avenue. Gunshots rang out, leaving two people injured. Responding Philadelphia Police officers discovered Jerrill Curtis at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. A second individual, a 58-year-old male, was also wounded in the incident.
