On Monday, August 3, 2009 at approximately 7:30 pm, a neighbor's 911 call brought sheriff deputies to a home�at 218 Pamlico Road near Oriental.�The homeowner, Linda Lee Jackson, was found dead in her bedroom.�Her body had been burned.�She was 54 years-old and was last seen alive a few days prior to the discovery of her body.
