In the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, the life of 27-year-old Prentiss Smith was tragically cut short on the afternoon of July 31, 2026. The young man from North Chicago was standing near a bus stop in the 3400 block of West 16th Street at approximately 12:38 p.m. when two vehicles approached him.
