On September 9, 2016, 33-year-old Ruijuan Guo was shot and killed during an armed robbery in the South End area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Guo, a Mandarin teacher at Kensington Elementary School, was leaving a concert with her fianc� and a friend when they were approached by a gunman. The suspect demanded money and, after Guo�s fianc� could not retrieve his wallet quickly enough, the gunman shot Guo. Three suspects were eventually arrested and charged in connection with the murder.
