On a tragic Saturday night in Indianapolis, the life of 20-year-old Ashlynn Owens was cut short by an act of violence. Just before midnight on May 2, 2026, police were called to the 4900 block of Rockville Road on the city's west side after reports of a person being shot. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Owens suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries shortly after her arrival.
