On the evening of May 5, 2026, a dispute at a Conoco gas station on the east side of Indianapolis escalated into a fatal shootout, claiming the life of 26-year-old Izaak Garcia. The incident, which unfolded at the intersection of 10th Street and Emerson Avenue just before 10:30 p.m., also left another man in critical condition. Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a disturbance between at least two individuals at the gas station.
